Heritage Sour

This long-shaped loaf delivers a complex flavour with beautiful sour notes. It has a very moist crumb and is dark in colour and, as we’ve used flour made from freshly stone-ground UK grains, it also contains a lot of the minerals and nutrients that would be lost in conventional milling.

Gilchesters Organics

Some of the flour used in our Mastercrafted range comes from Gilchesters Organics, a family-run company that combines the traditional art of stone milling with a number of historical grains, all grown in harmony with their surroundings.

Years of painstaking research into organic crop husbandry, and a focus on growing crops and rearing livestock within the natural constraints of the land, have created a range of great tasting and nutritious flours that help give our Mastercrafted breads, such as the Heritage Sour, their very distinctive tastes.
